TEAM
CHALLENGES
The group would be split down into teams .Each team will
then be challenged with finding and completing four exercises
that will draw on the teams mental and physical abilities
together with teamwork, communications and sense of humour.
The exercises will be spread across a 90-acre site, which
means the teams must use map and compass to find their way
around..
A wide variety of exercises can be selected depending upon
the physical ability of the group.
BREACHER'S BOY
An object must be recovered from the middle of a toxic swamp.
The only way to do this is by suspending one of the team
members above the pond in a climbing harness (about 50%
actually go into the swamp).
CHASM CROSSING
A 20-foot wide chasm must be traversed using limited equipment.
There is only one safe way of achieving this - jumping is
not allowed! This task needs a great deal of lateral thinking!
CROSS ROADS
Four platforms are connected via narrow metal poles raised
off the ground. Team members start on one platform and must
transfer to another. Careful balance and full utilisation
of all team members is required.
ELECTRIC FENCE
Retrieve the valuable electronic equipment from within the
compound protected by an electric fence, minefield and trip
wires. Limited equipment is available requiring a cunning
solution to be devised.
EMPIRE CRATE BUILDING
The team is equipped with 50 milk crates with which they
must form the tallest tower possible. The tower must hold
the weight of one team member at its summit (they are connected
to a safety line for when the tower eventually falls over).
GUN RUN
A heavy artillery gun must be disassembled and transported
to the far side of a chasm. The team must also cross the
chasm and reassemble the gun. A true team effort.
HUMAN SHEEP
Blindfolded team members must collect a selection of coloured
skittles and balls from a corral. A five-minute planning
session is allowed as once in the enclosure the only communication
allowed is via whistle, duck or crow calls.

LEAP FROG
Team members are numbered one to five or lettered A to E.
From the specified starting order they must change their
position and order whilst following a series of rules. A
logistical problem relying on clear communications.
LOST ON THE MOON
The team is presented with a situation; they are stranded
on the moon and must make an overland trip to the safety
of the Base camp. There are a number of items available
to assist them, they must decide upon the priority of each
item. This is done first as individuals and then discussed
as a team with the items in front of them.
MINEFIELD
A colleague guides blindfold team members through a maze
of trip wires and pressure pads. If a mistake is made a
detonation is triggered and that team member is eliminated.
The objective is to get as many through as possible.
MOON WALK
Your spacecraft has crash-landed on the moon in a radioactive
lunar swamp, and you have lost your air supply module. You
have one umbilical oxygen line, which attaches your team
together; you must recover the module using the safe craters
before your supply runs out.
NUCLEAR HAZARD
The team is confronted with a barrel containing toxic waste.
They must lift the barrel and pour the contents into a nearby
receptacle but they may approach no closer than the marked
boundary.
PLUMBERS NIGHTMARE
A ball must be floated to the top of a tube. The only water
available is located 20 yards away. Equipment includes pipes,
channels, ropes and poles.
POLES APART
Using planks, barrels and rope the team must construct a
craft capable of circumnavigating the island in the middle
of a pond. Having two or three teams competing at the same
time adds to the enjoyment.
RAVINE CROSSING
Apparatus representing a washed out bridge confronts the
team. Using the equipment provided the must devise a safe
method of crossing.
SPIDERS WEB
In front of the team stands a web seven foot tall and eight-foot
wide. The team must get from one side of the web to the
other without making contact. A large spider patrols the
web adding restrictions to the teams movement. Virtually
a three-dimensional game of chess.
STEPPING STONES
The whole team must get from one side of a swamp to the
other via a series of stepping-stones. The span between
stones is too great to be jumped and so must be bridged
using wooden planks. Dead ends and out of bound stones help
to make this exercise tough to complete.
TIN CAN ALLEY
Eight tins must be retrieved using a grapple hook and a
series of control ropes. The team is blindfolded and birdcalls
are the only form of communication.
TITANIC
Water must be transported using a rolling platform fitted
with a seat - one team member wears a specially modified
helmet and is hauled along by the remainder - a scene reminiscent
of ancient Egypt - only wetter!
THE TUBE
A 10-foot long tube stands upright on the ground. An object
must be recovered from the bottom of the tube using the
limited equipment available.
UXB
A large unexploded bomb must be defused before the timer
reaches zero. The bomb must be recovered from its resting-place
and defused. Nerves of steel are required for this task.
