This is your chance to fly in a light aircraft. After a thorough briefing by your qualified instructor covering the type of aircraft you are to fly in but also how an aircraft does fly, as well as how the controls work. Your instructor will take the aircraft off and when at a safe height will let you have the opportunity to take the controls and experience the feeling of being in control of a light aircraft. You will sit in the captain’s seat with your instructor beside you as they demonstrate the responsive dual controls. You will try your hand at climbing, banking and descending before flying back to the airfield to set up an approach and of course a perfect ‘greaser’ landing – be careful though you may get hooked!

Special Notes

Upon arrival at the aerodrome your recipient will be given a briefing on the principles of light aircraft flying. From there they are taken to the aeroplane for a general familiarisation of the cockpit layout and a rundown of the controls. After this it’s up, up and away for a 30 minute flight of a lifetime! If the instructor feels confident that his new student is ready, they will even be able to take the controls and get the thrill of piloting the aircraft. Facilities and planes will vary between locations and the images used here are a guide only. Family and friends are welcome to come along and use the clubhouse for food and drinks. You must become a member free of charge on the day to be covered by insurance.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. You are free to contact your preferred operator to arrange a date using the contact details provided.
Minimum age 12.
If you are over 16 stone or 6ft 4 inches tall you will need to state this to the receptionist prior to booking and you may need to pay a surcharge on the day to be upgraded to a larger aircraft.
ALL LESSONS ARE SUBJECT TO WEATHER CONDITIONS ON THE DAY AND CLIENTS SHOULD PHONE ON THE MORNING OF THEIR LESSON TO CHECK. Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to be with them on the day.
