Sebastian Vettel is the F1 world champion for 2011 but this didn’t stop him proving his credentials once again on the new circuit in India last weekend. It seems chasing statistics is just as motivating as winning the championship for the second year running.
Vettel like myself, started out in karts at a young age and my friends at Great Experience Days also offer karting days for those who want to follow in the footsteps of Grand Prix winners. Although, we both have left karts behind us, Vettel seems determined to build upon his success over the last two years and staked his claim as the first past the chequered flag in India. There does at the moment only seem to be one other person who can chase the coat tails of the champion. Jenson Button is once again proving why he was 2009 winner and although there are only two races left in the season, Jenson is certainly putting the pressure on the others to make sure he is second in the championship.
From karting champion to F1 world champion, there is always something to aim for.
