Take the reins and travel through the rugged beauty of the New Forest - on horseback! With a half-hour introductory lesson, even if you've never ridden before you'll soon feel at home in the saddle. After learning the ropes and getting to know your friendly horse, you'll spend an hour and a half trekking the forest trail through plains, woods and ancient paths.

This experience last around 2 1/2 hours, with 2 hours in the saddle. Your experience starts with a cup of tea, a warm welcome and a safety briefing with your instructor - who will introduce you to your mount, settle you on board and take you to an arena for a half hour riding lesson. Then you’ll head off into the forest for your 1 hour and 30 minute beginner hack, riding amongst the wild New Forest ponies and into the leafy glades of the deer country. With the tranquillity of the forest, the gentle movement of the horse and the sight of wild deer grazing, this is a wonderful way to discover the beauty of New Forest National Park.
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. This experience is not available on Mondays. The minimum age for this experience is nine years old and the maximum weight is 14 stone (89 kg). All participants must wear long trousers and shoes or boots with a small heel. Flat soled shoes or trainers are not suitable. This experience is available on weekend and selected dates all year round. Your hack will be at walking pace and will be suitable for beginners. The pace will not move to trotting until all riders are safe and capable of doing so. This experience is not suitable for those who wish to canter, gallop or jump their horse. Paces on hacks cannot be guaranteed, riders may be slowed if the safety of the ride is endangered by ground/weather conditions or the ability of riders. Please inform the supplier at the point of booking if the participant is disabled or has a medical condition. This experience is not suitable for pregnant women. Times may vary.
