Your hangliding experience starts with a brief induction, followed by on site hangliding training. This training will include the theory of this kind of flight, basic safety rules and procedures including landing.

Once you have completed this part of your hangliding experience you will then at the discretion of your instructor and weather permitting be able to fly solo. As a part of your hangliding experience you will start with elementary and the progress on to more adventurous flights.

Hangliding is extremely weather dependant and if the weather conditions aren’t right you may have to come back the next day to complete your hangliding experience. Due to the fact that hangliding is subject to weather conditions, you must allow yourself the full day.

Spectators are more than welcome for your hangliding experience, there are usually catering facilities available for any spectators. Unfortunately no dogs are allowed. There are some restrictions on the hangliding experience. You must be a minimum of 16 years old and if under the age of 18 have parent/guardian consent. The maximum weight for the hangliding experience is 15 stone and the maximum height is 6”2.

There is also a dress code for the hangliding experience; you must wear light flat-soled shoes and long trousers. Helmets, gloves and waterproofs will be provided where necessary, it is vital that you wear a helmet for hangliding and there will be no exceptions.
