Hot air ballooning gives one a brand new perspective on the world, as ballooning flights tend to take place in the early morning or evening when air currents are at their most stables. Your brightly coloured balloon will initially be inflated with an enormous fan heater then firmly tied down and weighted. Once you’re aboard and comfortable in the basket, the pilot will release the weights and ties and the ground will slowly drop away as you float upwards on your ballooning adventure.

For up to an hour you’ll drift serenely above an unfolding landscape passing over toytown villages, hearing the dogs barking and seeing ant-size people point and wave. Quite simply the most uninhibited and serene way to view the countryside below, no other form of flying offers you 360 degrees of visibility in the same way as ballooning. Call your chosen launch site prior to departure to ensure the weather is fine for ballooning and be sure to arrive in plenty of time for the flight. Our ballooning rides are flown first thing in the morning and last thing in the day from spring to autumn and occasionally throughout the day in winter. Ballooning flights last about an hour, but the whole experience lasts three to four hours. Cameras and videos are welcome so be sure to bring plenty of film.
